In Commemorating its 40th year of Operation, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana Celebrates its Steadfast Commitment to the Community

NEW ORLEANS – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL) eagerly awaits marking its 40th anniversary in 2024 with a focus on advancing the progression of Hispanic businesses under the theme of “Onward: Driving Hispanic Businesses Forward”. During this time, the organization made great strides in the local community and is thrilled to announce their newest innovations in improving how they serve their community at large.

Centered on serving a wide spectrum of communities across Louisiana, the mission of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL) is to foster the continued economic growth, development, and promotion of Hispanic businesses and their associations in the State of Louisiana, and to serve as the conduit between the Hispanic business community and the community at large.

Through advancing the mission, the efforts of cultivating a more participative and inclusive community will not go unnoticed as the chamber continues to announce new partnerships, events, and opportunities as well as enhancement of their online presence within their membership interface and community engagement.

“Since its inception, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana has maintained its mission to advocate and facilitate a favorable business environment for the Hispanic community and uplift Hispanic business owners in every way possible.” says Mayra Pineda, President and CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana  “Over four decades, we have grown in membership size and organizational efforts, but most importantly in our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

In 2024 and beyond, HCCL’s strategic plan includes enhanced programming, expansion of footprint, and an intentional focus on workforce training with skills needed to access jobs in the area.  This concerted effort aims to educate and empower the community at large while working to overcome barriers that impede growth.
