Marina was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Miami, but has been calling New Orleans home since 2002. She started her career in banking in 2000 and has since developed a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals. As a banking professional, she has helped her customers manage their everyday banking needs, and has worked with entrepreneurs obtain financing to start, operate and expand their businesses.
In her current role as a Mortgage Loan Originator at Gulf Coast Bank, she works closely with her customers through the mortgage loan process guiding them from application to closing.
Through active community involvement she has built a strong network. In 2015 she founded the HCCL Hispanic Young Professionals of Louisiana (HYPLA) with the goal to give Hispanic young professionals the chance to share insight, exchange ideas and expand their expertise and network alongside some of the premier business leaders in the Greater New Orleans area.
In her downtime, she is very involved in her teen children’s schools and activities – and in her community. She sits on the Board of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana, chairs the nonprofit El Centro Inc., and is a member of GNO, Inc.’s NextGen Council.
